Intravenous Therapy for Nurses

The aim of this book is to improve the understanding of the protocols, illustrate how best technique can minimize the risk of infection and other complications during IV therapy.

To achieve these aims, this book has been devised for practical use in helping and training nurses to become IV therapy practitioner as well as to benefit the patients from IV therapy whilst reducing the potential complications.

My sincere thought, if the nurses (students and practitioners) and other health care personnel apply the scientific principles which are described in this book in their day-to-day IV therapy practice, and minimize the risk to the patient and provide quality care, I believe my effort of bringing out this book, in spite of many hurdles, will be giving immense satisfaction.
