The construction activities have lately increased manifold. The innovations

form and not available at one place. The book, Soil Testing For

Engineers is an effort to compile all the important geotechnical tests in

one single volume. This edition of the book covers all relevant field tests, laboratory tests,

including chemical tests of soils. Preliminary idea of rock drilling is also

discussed in the book. A few case studies have also been added in order to

acquaint the readers more precisely about applications of geotechnical tests in

design of foundations. The tests described in the book are based on

internationally prevailing methodologies as well as the authors' long experiences in

this area.
