Robinson Crusoe was first published in 1719 and has become one of the most widely published books in history.

In September 1659, young Robinson Crusoe leaves Brazil and sails for Africa with 13 other sailors. On the way, they run into a terrible storm and their ship hits a huge rock. Gigantic waves throw the sailors into the sea. All his companions die, but Robinson Crusoe survives and manages to get to land. Now, he is the only inhabitant of a desert island which will become his home for the next 27 years. He must face hunger, thirst and even savage cannibals … How will he do this?
